Day 64: I Will Not Be Shaken

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. –Psalm 62:5-6 NIV

Are you weary today? Are you overcome with feelings of fear, frustration, and at times, rage? Has your life dealt you an unexpected event? My friend, you are not alone. There is always hope in Christ our Savior. He is our strength and our shield; He is our rock and our fortress. Do not allow yourself to listen to the lies of the enemy (Satan), for he is the prince of lies. Do not allow yourself to be shaken by your troubles. To be shaken is to be discombobulated; to be disconcerted—in other words, mixed up and confused. In Christ we have the assurance that He is with us, and He will show us the way. His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light for our path (see Psalm 119:105 KJV). So do not dismay, for we serve a majestic and powerful God. He has everything under His control. Stand firm on the rock, Jesus. Keep your eyes focused on Him alone and say with all certainty, “I will not be shaken; I will find rest for my soul in You alone, my Lord and Savior.” Amen and amen.
