Day 150: Why Do You Believe?

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see…. –Hebrews 11:1 MSG

Why do you believe what you believe? What you believe in your heart is more powerful than what you see. We believe by faith, and what we’ve read in the Word. Jesus was born of a virgin, came to earth in human form, died on the Cross, was resurrected on the third day, went to hell in our place, and took the keys of hell and death. He now sits at the right hand of the Father. He has saved us from all our sins and we are now righteous, in right standing with our heavenly Father. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are certain we are going to Heaven and know we are going to meet Jesus in the air when He returns to earth. Why do we believe these things? We have faith. It’s so important to know who we are and whose we are. Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) tells us, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
