Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. –Psalm 23:4 NLT

Do you feel like you hit a wall? Like you can’t go on another day? Maybe you heard a life-threatening diagnosis for yourself or a family member. Maybe you lost your job, and bills are piling up. Perhaps, you’re going through a divorce. You feel physically and mentally exhausted. Satan could not be happier when these things occur—but God says you will get through this. It will not be easy, but He will be right by your side. In Psalm 23, God says that He is our Shepherd. When we read this psalm, we see that God is our Shepherd and walking alongside us, protecting us from the wolves. He is able to do abundantly more than we can imagine. However, it is not always painless or quick. There are peaks and valleys in life. But remember, God can turn what was meant for evil into good. Don’t turn away from the Lord when facing difficult times. That is when we need Him the most. We need genuine, powerful hope. God can be trusted with our hearts and futures because of His goodness and faithfulness.
