Perfect Peace?

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever; for the Lord, the Lord himself is the Rock eternal. –Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV

Are you steadfast in your faith? We tend to run to God in times of crisis, but forget about Him when it’s smooth sailing. Remember that God rejoices as much in your everyday little steps of faith as He does when you take that giant leap of faith. It’s easy to fall into complacency in the good times. We can be lulled into believing that our own power is sufficient and we are in control. What God can accomplish through us is directly proportional to our dependence and trust in Him. Don’t lose out on the precious experience of rejoicing with Him. As Psalm 34:1 (NKJV) says, “I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise will continually be in my mouth.” Continue to seek His face throughout the day; praise Him for His goodness; give thanks for His blessings; and dance in His presence. Let His peace permeate your entire being so others can see that the way to flourish in faith is consistent trust in Him.
