Day 240: Resurrected

Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.-Mark 16:6 NIV

As Christians, we believe in the Resurrection. Jesus was crucified, died and rose from the dead. He took our punishment upon Himself. He did this knowing that not one of us was without sin.Today, the resurrected Christ also lives in the heart of every believer through the Holy Spirit. It is only by his resurrection that his righteousness can be imputed to us. Faith is what unites us to Christ - if you trust and believe in Him. We are forgiven sons/daughters of God with an eternal inheritance in heaven that can never be taken away. Our past can’t be changed but our future can. When you give your life to Him there is a heart change that takes place. He conquered sin and death so we can have a new life. There are no hopeless cases. We don’t deserve God’s grace, but God showed us His love and has promised to redeem us!He offers hope to everyone who has been born again. Jesus promised in John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."
