Day 243: Running After Jesus

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -Isaiah 40:31 NIV

There are many different ways to exercise. One of the most common is running. There are serious atheletes who enter marathons and others that run for daily exercise. There are also different types of things to run after in our lives; a career, money, relationships and much more. When we run after wordly things we may achieve them but they don’t bring the satisfication we thought they would. Running to Jesus is the only way to secure total self-fulfillment. This is where our focus shoud be. It is important to keep in mind the Sovereign God sets the course. As you run your own race there will be days that are more difficult than others. We need the power of God to help us do more than we could possibly achieve on our own. Don’t take your eyes off Jesus. Pray for God’s will in your life and His wisdom so that you will not be shaken. Our spiritual life is like a race.We must endure and when the race of our life is over we will receive the gift of salvation! So, run don’t walk into His loving arms.
