Say Amen!

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. –2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV

This verse in 2 Corinthians assures us that every promise God has made in His Word is for you. When you find a promise in the Bible, you never have to wonder if it applies to you. God is NOT sitting on His throne of grace saying, “Yes, this promise is yours; but, no, you’re not good enough for that one.” If you are “in Christ,” it is through His finished work that every promise comes with a guaranteed YES to you by your heavenly Father.God gives us His promises and says, “Yes, they are yours.” Now according to this verse, your responsibility is to say, “Amen!” Amen finds its definition in a Hebrew root word meaning “this is solidly, firmly, surely true, verified, and established.” When you speak “amen” at the end of a discourse or prayer, the person uttering it is literally saying, “I agree, I believe, let it be so.”God has promised you, “No weapon formed against you can prosper. No one can snatch you from My hand. Nothing can separate you from My love. I go before you and level mountains. I am with you wherever you go. I will not fail you.”
