In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.-Ephesians 1:13 NKJV
What exactly does it mean to be sealed with the Holy Spirit? In Jesus' day, marking something with a seal was used to guarantee security and indicate ownership. In Christ, God has set His mark upon you, impressed you with the seal of His Spirit, to affirm that you belong to Him. He has identified you as His own. The seal of His Spirit provides protection. Your new life is now hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). It's like God is saying “these contents are concealed and protected and not to be tampered with because they belong to Me”.He has stamped you with His seal to make sure you know you are included. Because you are in Christ, you are accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). He has marked you with Himself, to authenticate you, indicating His acceptance and approval. The stamp of His seal means you are anointed. “He (God) anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22) You are equipped and enabled by the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit to do all that He's called you to do.Remember who you are. You are sealed by the Holy Spirit. You are accepted, approved, affirmed and anointed by God!
Pray that God would reveal to you what errors you have made so you can ask for forgiveness and carry on with the great plans He has for your life.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you set healthy boundaries and margins that will allow you to live a life of influence while paving the way to leave a godly legacy.
