The vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. –Habakkuk 2:3
Disappointment is discouraging. No one likes being let down, especially when we are so sure things were going to go a certain way. It’s disappointing to watch someone else reap a benefit they may not necessarily deserve, or when you feel that someone else is promoted when you clearly should have been offered the promotion. It’s disappointing when someone wins a contest that you worked so hard to win, or when someone who mishandles their finances has a higher credit score than yours. Disappointment along with other negative emotions can cause you to question your self-worth and wonder if righteous living is worth it. Life can be a letdown at times, but it doesn’t mean you should give up. God has something better in store for you if you trust in Him and the plan He has for your life. It’s definitely worth it!
When disappointment ruins your expectations, ask God to comfort you and help you see the bigger picture.
When it seems like things aren’t going your way, ask God to guide you down His path.
