See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. –Isaiah 43:19 NIV
Most of us have never witnessed the kind of global pandemic we’re now experiencing. Along with the new normal that will be the natural outcome of this unprecedented time in history will come unlimited opportunities to change something—or maybe even everything—about our lives. So rather than seeing the current uncertainty as something to fear or reject, view it as a new beginning to embrace.Spend more time with your spouse, children, and friends. Commit to eating more meals as a family. Start a Bible study, game night, movie night, or book club. Start an exercise routine to ensure you live long enough to enjoy your grandchildren. Take that first online class toward a degree, or another degree. Start the online business you’ve been dreaming about. Choose a cause to devote your love and faith to.There will never be a shortage of people who are desperate to hear about God’s grace, and your church and community offer endless opportunities to fulfill that mission. Look around you and find a new need that must be filled. Then step out in faith and do something you’ve never done. The world needs you now more than ever.
Father, open my eyes to the new things You’re doing in my life.
Lord, how can I show others Your glory and majesty during this time of change and upheaval?
