Temporary Struggles

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. –1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

In life we have two choices. We can feel sorry for ourselves, curl up in a ball, and sit in sackcloth and ashes, or we can choose to triumph. We can determine that no matter what happens, through Christ’s strength, we’re going to live the best life possible. We’re all handed a load of personal struggles, our own giants, and our own fears—no one is exempt.Everyone faces trouble at some time in life. Some decide to fight the good fight of faith, while others accept defeat. While some refuse to stop short of giving God glory, others even accuse Him of being an abusive Father who doesn’t care about them. But our Father does care! He yearns to see us face our battles and win. He loves to see His children succeed even more than we do ours.Whatever you’re facing today, don’t give up short of achieving your victory. Take courage in knowing that others have faced the same giants and have come out stronger for it. Get up, dust yourself off, hold your head high, and take the Father’s hand. He’ll lead you to victory.

Father, please help me to remember my troubles are only temporary.

Help me learn from this rough time in my life! Thank God that spiritual battles develop faith and character. Ask Him to help you turn your struggles into new strength.
