Thanksgiving Day will be here soon. Turkeys will be bought and preparations will be made. Family and friends will gather to celebrate. Though all this is to be enjoyed, there is a deeper meaning. The chorus in the song “Glorious Days” gives us the real reason for Thanksgiving. “Living, He loved me / Dying, He saved me / Buried, He carried my sins far away / Rising, He justified freely forever / One day He’s coming / Oh glorious day, oh glorious day.” As you enjoy your dinner, remember to focus on the true reasons to be thankful. You are blessed, loved, and a child of the King of kings. What a glorious day it will be when we are in the presence of our Savior.
