“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. –Proverbs 16:9 NLT
Who is at the center of your universe? For far too many of us, the answer is “Me.” It’s all about me. I am responsible for my life, my family, my job, my money, and even my church. The problem with that thought pattern is the rest of the world didn’t get the notice that you are in charge; so the earth, moon, and stars, and all their inhabitants, absolutely refuse to revolve around you.God says in Isaiah 46:9 (AMP), “For I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is no one like Me.” God is God, and you are not. When life becomes unmanageable, it’s time to center your universe on the One who actually created it. The earth, moon, and stars do revolve around Him, so jump off your throne and turn it over to Him. Make it His life, family, job, money, and church. He can manage them all perfectly. Put God back on the throne where He belongs and focus your efforts where you belong—seeking only to please Him and love others. Your load will lighten and life will become simpler. He has a very special role for you in His universe—let go of your own plans and allow Him to take control.
Thank God for being the center of the universe and for making you the center of His focus.
Pray that He will remain your sole focus and that He helps you find your role in the universe.
