Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words! –2 Corinthians 9:15 NLT
After the celebration of Christmas, the day after feels like the holiday spirit came and went too fast. That is true if you are thinking about making all the gift returns, housecleaning, undecorating the Christmas tree, and thinking next year will be more special if you add a few changes. Christmas may be over but not what it embodies—Emmanuel or “God with us.” It is all about the birth of our Savior who loves you, sees you, and cares for you. The manger is empty, but so is the tomb. Your Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace is still worthy of celebration—day after day after day. The day after Christmas holds joy because His Spirit is in you. Every day following Christmas is a day of hope to fill your heart and home with new blessings and strength to get you through the entire new year to come. Jesus is everywhere all the time; and when He came to earth, He became “God with us.” The festivities may be over, you may be exhausted, but the Christmas message should stay in your heart. Treasure the meaning of the true gift year-round.
May you feel God’s presence and abiding love at Christmas and throughout the year.
May your heart be lifted with praise for the wonderful gift of Jesus.
