Day 226: The Lord Is My Light

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?–Psalm 27:1 NKJV

We live in such precarious times. Everything is so uncertain and off-balance. When have we ever seen so much chaos as we see in the world today? All we have to do is turn on our television and we can see the condition of a world without Jesus. Oh, but there is hope! There is Jesus, who is the Light of the world; who is the Savior of the world. He gives us courage in times of fear; strength in times of weakness; joy in times of sorrow; and peace in the midst of turmoil. We need not fear! For our Captain and Champion will keep us all under the cloud of His protection. He will fight for us through every season of trouble. Though there are times when we feel like there is a war rising up against us, let us stay confident in the One who fights our battles. Whatever difficulty you are facing on this day, stay focused and do not forget, Wait on the Lord; be of good courage; and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord (Psalm 27:14 NKJV).

prayer focuses

Let us pray that God will bring a spiritual awakening and revival to the church, so we can be a beacon to a hurting world.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will empower us, so when trouble comes we can at every moment of the day make war on our knees.
