Trust and Obey – Part Two

…To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. –1 Samuel 15:22 NIV

Charles Mully risked alienation from his biological children, who felt displaced in their own home and their father’s heart. He was banned from his local church for taking orphans to services. He depleted his vast fortune and continues to rely on God alone to provide for his ever-expanding family. Ever faithful, he remains obedient to God’s calling on his life. The remarkable result is Mully Children’s Family (MCF), a Christian nonprofit that provides food, shelter, education, and medical care to orphaned and abandoned children at several sites throughout Kenya. Every child at MCF receives an education and learns a marketable skill. Some children graduate from college. Some work for the organization that saved their lives. All of them know God’s grace and His great love for them. To date, MCF has rescued more than 15,000 children, each one priceless and precious to the Father.God is likely calling you to do something much smaller in scale than what He called Charles Mully to do. But the scale of the calling does not matter. Are you ready to let nothing stand in the way of your obedience to Him? You may not change the world, but you may lead one person to Christ, and that person means the world to Him.
