…For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. –Isaiah 30:18 NLT
There are many times throughout our life when you wait for answers to prayers: an unresolved physical ailment; a prolonged job search; complications with selling a home; or ongoing difficulties in a relationship. As you wait, days may turn into weeks, weeks into months, and sometimes months into years. How do you survive the uncertainty? First, you need to understand that difficulties are part of life. Our Lord Jesus explained, “…In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 ESV). Also, do not be afraid. Continue to pray to the Lord and trust Him, knowing that He loves you and will not abandon you. “Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord” (Psalm 27:13-14 NLT). Finally, rest in God’s love. Faith in the Lord’s goodness separates you from unbelievers. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7 ESV).
Lord, thank You for hearing and answering my prayers.
Lord, help me to rest peacefully as I wait for Your help.
