Are you enjoying your Lord and Savior in more and more aspects of your life? Who are your companions as you walk on your path of life? Are joy and peace in your heart and mind?Psalm 5:11 (NLT) tells us, “But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever…that all who love your name may be filled with joy.” Who you choose as companions definitely has an effect on how you live and treat other people. Choose wisely. Choose close friends who will walk with God with you; and if they don’t, decide that your family will walk with God regardless of how everyone around you is living. Joshua 24:15 (NIV) says, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”In Deuteronomy 30:19-20, Moses challenged the Israelites to choose life, to obey God, and to hold fast to Him. God doesn’t force His will on anyone. He lets us decide whether to follow or reject Him. This decision is a life-or-death matter. God wants us to realize this because He wants us all to choose life. Let us look for friends who will help us grow in our relationship with Him and choose to hold fast to Him together!
