Wisdom Calls

Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? …she cries aloud: “To you, O people, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind.” –Proverbs 8:1,3-4 NIV

Wisdom is available! It’s not hidden! In fact, as these verses say, wisdom calls out to “all mankind.” God is always moving in the world, beckoning people to make the first and wisest decision in their lives—to know Him. He has strategically positioned counselors to be present to guide everyone. Godly parents, teachers, pastors, friends, books, and especially the Bible, God’s Word, are all available to lead you to the wisdom of seeking a relationship with the Lord. The path to wisdom has many markers. Think about how many people own Bibles but never open them, turn away from fabulous teaching on TV and radio, and drive past vibrant churches. Jesus revealed the reason for this attitude in John 3:19 (NIV) saying, “people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” When you enter a relationship with Him, you have true wisdom, the Light of the world, living within you. His promise to you: “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12 NIV).
