Day 195: Your Reward and Portion

My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. –Psalm 73:26 NKJV

God Himself is our reward. Lamentations 3:24 (NKJV) says, “‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!’” What a privilege it is to have God in our lives. When we ask Him for help, we can know that He is listening. Just as it says in Mark 11:24 (NKJV), “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”When we seek God’s help and live for Him, we receive His rewards in our lives. Life will not always be perfect, but we can trust that God is always there with us. Joy and peace are all part of His rewards.Isaiah 32:17 (NKJV) tells us about God’s peace, “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” Regardless of our circumstances, we can trust in God’s plan for our lives. We must allow His peace to fill us. God may open and close doors in our lives, because He knows exactly what we need when we need it. God is and always will be our strength and our rock.
