Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. –Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT
We all have real fears in our lives. It is a natural emotion that all humans experience. These fears cause us to react impulsively at times. Despite these fears, we want to be in control of our lives; yet God wants us to depend on Him. In your own strength, it is impossible not to have fear. But when you rely on the Holy Spirit to guide and sustain you, you can get through the unknown. You have to surrender and have faith in Him. God has a plan and He is directing your steps. If you lack trust, you will be fully consumed, and you won’t experience the full life God intended for you. Each day is a gift, and you belong to Him. He knows you—your likes and dislikes, your sins and your fears. He paid the price for you with His blood on the Cross. He will comfort you, and you can be assured that God’s plans are to prosper you and not to harm you (see Jeremiah 29:11). Even if you never obtain what you are seeking here on earth, you will always have God Himself. Rest in Him because His love for you is greater than all your fears.
Ask the Lord for His voice to be louder than your fears.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength. You are safe in His arms.
