God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. –Psalm 68:6 NKJV
Addiction of many sorts are plaguing our society, including additions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, and even social media. Abuse likes to rear its ugly head as well, including domestic violence, molestation, and bullying. When living a life that includes one or both of these situations, it’s easy to feel like nothing will ever change; or we think, “This is just the way my life is.” Yet this is not how God intended us to live. Pray, pray, pray, and then pray some more for God to lead you out of a situation that brings harm to you. Ask Him to help you get help for addictions or to find a safe haven from being abused. The journey to recovery is not easy, but God is walking beside you guiding you in the direction you need to go to gain freedom. He will provide opportunities to talk to the right people to give you support and love as you find your way. As your life shifts, He will then use you to help others in their journey to gain freedom from their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
If you need help, ask God to guide you to the right people to help you be successful in finding freedom.
Use your experience of hardship to help guide and encourage someone to break free from addiction.
