You Are Loved!

And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” –Galatians 4:6 NLT

Depending on your relationship with your earthly father, you might have developed a distorted view of your heavenly Father, but God doesn’t want you to hold a distorted view of Him. It breaks His heart when you think He’s upset, angry, or disappointed in you. God wants you to know that He adores you! He values and sees you as the “apple of His eye.” As your relationship with Him develops, He wants your perception of Him to become accurate and healthy. Like a father or a mother who loves to hear their children call out to them, “Daddy” or “Mommy,” God delights when you call out to Him, “Abba, Father.” Did you know that the corresponding word for “Abba” is Daddy? Your heavenly Daddy loves you unconditionally and personally cares about all that you go through. He is your Provider, Defender, Shield, Comforter, and Healer. He is your unfailing, trustworthy, reliable Daddy in Heaven who watches over you day in and day out. He knows every hair on your head and has your name written on the palm of His hand. Do not be afraid to draw close to Father God. There is no greater love than the love He has for you. May your Father’s Love Letter, the Bible, give you greater revelation of how much your Daddy loves you! Happy Father’s Day to our earthly daddies and our Daddy in Heaven!

prayer focuses

Today, talk with Abba Father as though He’s sitting beside you in a cozy loveseat.

Pray that God’s Holy Spirit would give you a deeper understanding of how much God truly loves you.
