Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below—what can you know? –Job 11:7-8 NIV
Even the greatest minds can’t understand everything in life. When we accept the fact that we won’t always understand everything but God does, frustration with our world and our circumstances will lessen. God never promises that we will always understand what happens in our lifetime. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) clearly states, “‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’” God is in our tomorrows before we are, and He has it all taken care of—what a blessing! We don’t have to understand all the details, but we do need to trust that God is in control. What may not make sense to us makes total sense to our heavenly Father because He knows every detail of our lives. At the end of time, we will understand our earthly situations and the timing. Until then, the Lord offers us hope for our future. Leave it in His hands.
Praise God that He is trustworthy enough to offer us genuine hope for our future.
Father, I know that my understanding is limited, but Yours is not. I trust You to take care of me.
